Mission Statement
The Office of Trademark Licensing exists to protect the name and marks of Syracuse University and to enhance the image of the University through the administration of licensing agreements authorizing the use of the marks on high quality merchandise that aligns with the Syracuse brand. It is also the responsibility of the office to insure that the University receives the appropriate market value for the use of its trademarks and to actively enforce the unauthorized use of marks/names, logos and likenesses of the University. Syracuse University requires that all individuals, organizations, departments and companies, both internal and external, obtain prior approval before producing any product(s) that will display Syracuse University Indicia; regardless of the method of distribution.
Syracuse University is a member affiliate of the Fair Labor Association and requires all licensees register with the Fair Labor Association. Syracuse University is also an affiliate of the Workers Rights Consortium. Syracuse University is committed to providing a transparent supply chain that supports workers rights across the globe.
